How to recognize anxiety in yourself and your kids
There are a number of different warning signs for anxiety. Some of them may seem obvious but others more surprising.
Here is a list of some of the different ways anxiety can affect you:
- rapid heartbeat
- trouble breathing
- frequent headaches
- stomach problems
- sweating
- shaking
- difficulty sleeping
- trouble concentrating
- memory issues
- frequent need for reassurance
- overthinking
- panic attacks
- avoidance
- constant worry
- lack of patience
- procrastination
It is important to keep in mind that anxiety affects everyone differently and most people will not have every one of these warning signs. If you have a few of these symptoms without another cause, it may be a sign of anxiety.
